Small-diameter piezometers
Relation of groundwater level, river gauge and precipitation for 2016
The 13 piezometers distributed in the test field site give very detailed information in time and space about the groundwater levels. After a deep analysis of the data, the best location and distribution of the assets for the two main field projects (rapid infiltration basin and groudwater monitoring wells) could be selected and the sensibility of the groundwater levels to the river stage could be identified. Their exported information, together with the one in the monitoring wells, is being used as input for the numerical models of the vadose zone and their calibration.
