Award of the Karl Franz Busch Medal
On 10 June 2022, the Gesellschaft zur Förderung der Siedlungswasserwirtschaft an der TU Dresden e.V. (Society for the Promotion of Urban Water Management at the TU Dresden) was able to hold its general meeting as an on-site event again for the first time. After the official "christening" of our technical centre as the Karl Franz Busch Technical Centre, the Karl Franz Busch Medal for outstanding theses at the TU Dresden's Department of Hydro Sciences was awarded again for the first time, and several times for the years 2017 to 2021!
The award-winning theses and prize winners are:
- Urte Paul: Modellierung von Beschickungssystemen vertikal durchströmter Bodenfilter. Masterarbeit, 2017.
- Pia Ebeling: Measures for seawater-intrusion remediation in shallow aquifers. Masterarbeit, 2018.
- Ivan Vorobevskii: Statistical analysis of compound hydro-meteorological extremes for the Wernersbach catchment. Masterarbeit, 2019.
- Maximilian Lehmann - Versuchstechnische Charakterisierung von Adsorbern zur Phosphatelimination für die Anwendung in kleinen Kläranlagen. Masterarbeit, 2020.
- Manuel Franz: Ausarbeitung eines Modells zur Strömungsmodellierung einer MCDI Zelle zur Salzwasseraufbereitung. Masterarbeit, 2021.
