DGMT Lecture Series 2021

The DGMT invites to the DGMT online lecture series (in German language).

Lectures on the topic of "Membranes for the protection of climate and resources" are offered at monthly intervals on Wednesdays at 5.00 pm. Five speakers will give exciting lectures on topics such as wastewater treatment, fouling behaviour, water reuse, fertiliser production and up-cycling. After the lectures, all participants are invited to join in the discussion.

On Wednesday, 6 October 2021, Mr Raphael Kunz (KERAFOL Keramische Folien GmbH & Co. KG) will give a lecture on " Customising natural fertilisers".

The use of natural fertilisers is both a curse and a blessing: the scarcity of mineral fertilisers (e.g. phosphates) necessitates the use of digestate and slurry, but these rarely provide the ideal composition of nutrients (NPK). Excessive discharge of the abundantly available farm manure leads to higher crop yields in the short term, but is detrimental to the environment. A process developed by a plant manufacturer will be presented that counteracts these problems and also saves storage and transport volumes.
