Successful dissertation of Johann Schnittger

Dr. Johann Schnittger successfully defended his dissertation thesis on "The Treatment of Saline Solutions Utilizing Ceramic Membranes in Membrane Distillation Processes" on 25 November 2021. He wrote his dissertation at the Fraunhofer Institute for Ceramic Technologies and Systems IKTS in cooperation with the Chair of Process Engineering in Hydro Systems under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Ingolf Voigt and Prof. Dr. André Lerch. The dissertation and work at IKTS were supported by a doctoral scholarship from the Deutsche Bundesstiftung Umwelt dbu. Prof. Dr. Kuo-Lun (Allan) Tung, Director of the R&D Centre for Membrane Technology (CMT) at Chung Yuan University in Taiwan, served as the third reviewer.
