"How young people impact policy making - experiences from the COP27"

On Thursday, 08.12.22, 4:40 p.m., Hasmik Barseghyan will give a lecture on "How young people impact policy making - experiences from the COP27" in lecture room 04 at the Hörsaalzentrum. The lecture will be held in English and will take place in the framework of the Basic Lecture on Environmental Sustainability.

Hasmik Barseghyan is President of the European Youth Parliament for Water (EYPW). She will give us exclusive insights into the negotiations for the climate conference COP27 and compare her experiences with COP26.

Following the talk (approx. 5:30 p.m.), there will be a film screening of "Guardians of the Earth". In this stirring documentary, director Filip Antoni Malinowski turns the revolutionary 2015 Paris World Climate Conference (COP21) into an electrifying political thriller. What kind of people decide the future of our planet? This film is an important contemporary document and provides crucial impulses for discussion. The film will be shown in English.
