Art exhibition “Wild Growth – On the Death and Survival of the Forest”
Starting on September 4, 2025, the Kunsthaus Raskolnikow invites you to a special exhibition. WILDWUCHS combines artistic and scientific perspectives and is dedicated to the delicate balance of our forests – between destruction and resilience.
Artist and cultural geographer Juliane Vowinckel and photographer and videographer Marco Borowski take you on a dramatic journey that tells a story of loss and hope. Their works are the result of intensive research in the forests of the Harz Mountains, the Sababurg primeval forest, and the burned areas of the Gohrischheide near Meissen, where sketches and analog photographs were created.
The Emerging Field Forest-Water Dynamics in Climate Change is an official partner of the exhibition and supported the artists in conception and implementation of the exhibition.
Opening: Thursday, September 4, 2025, 7:00 p.m.
The exhibition can be viewed during regular opening hours until October 10, 2025, at the Raskolnikow Gallery, as well as during the German Forest Days from September 19 to 21, 2025, from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. each day.
