Doctoral Degree and Habilitation at the Faculty of Environmental Sciences
The variety of topics and opportunities for a doctoral/habilitation procedure at the Faculty of Environmental Sciences is high. Besides the Doctor of Natural Sciences (Dr. rer. nat.), the Doctor of Forestry Science (Dr. rer. silv.) and the Doctor of Engineering (Dr. ing.), the faculty also grants the Ph.D. (Doctorate of Philosophy) within structured doctoral degree programmes. At the time, this applies to the joint doctoral degree programme in cooperation with the United Nations University (UNU).
PhD programme
TU Dresden (Environmental Sciences) and the United Nations University - Institute for Integrated Management of Material Fluxes and of Resources (UNU-FLORES) offer jointly a PhD programme. Focus is the sustainable management of water, soil and waste. One person from each of the institutions supervise the individual candidate. The first PhD graduated in 2018. For details see UNU-FLORES
