Independent lecturing at the University requires a habilitation. For this purpose, it is necessary to have a special interest in research and teaching that is documented by scientific publications as well as high quality of didactics and presentations. Generally, it is possible to habilitate in any subject, as long as you are supported by a professor of the faculty as a mentor. Typically, habilitations are part of a young scientist’s career, within the TU Dresden as well as externally.
