Get Ready: PhD Application Phase Launching end of 2025!

Are you passionate about urban air mobility, autonomous systems, and shaping the future of automated air transport?

Our Research Training Group (RTG 2947) at TU Dresden is preparing for a new PhD cohort starting May 2026, and we’re excited to announce that the application phase will open by the end of 2025.

We’ll be offering 11 PhD positions, each tied to a specific research topic. 
Want a head start? Check out the ongoing and past projects under the Airmetro research group to get an idea of the thematic directions.
The upcoming topics will evolve from this foundation, reflecting the current progress and research needs.
