1. Dresdner ÖV-Symposium
Public transport serves to ensure nationwide mobility and is also one of the main approaches to reducing traffic-related pollution.
The demands for short travel times, high comfort, low-emission and cost-efficient operation with maximum time and space flexibility for passengers requires innovative technologies. These include in particular the electrification and automation of the vehicles of the public transport and its interconnection both with each other and with the operational and transport infrastructure.
The first Dresden public transport symposium is to serve as a platform for discussion regarding cross-modal, profound and technical influences.
The symposium will be supplemented by contributions with a "hands on" character to current research projects of the Technische Universität Dresden and its partners such as
e.g. the project ABSOLUT for the highly automated driving in the public transport of the city of Leipzig, QLSA for the networking and quality-oriented preemption of public transport Traffic light systems, EKE public transport for the energy- and resource-optimal design of electric bus lines and their charging infrastructure.
