Brake Test Rig
Table of contents
Functional Description
The test field for friction technology includes two flywheel test benches. A wide range of vehicles can be simulated by varying the inertia (both hardware and software). Various test procedures can be carried out semi-automatically.
Fields of Research
- Fatique and wear testing
- Emergency Braking
- Investigation of cool down processes
- Untersuchung der Reibpaarungen
- Investigation of the friction pairings
- Parking brake test

Future plans for improvement
On the hardware side, the existing flywheel test stands are supplemented by a modern fully enclosed test bench. The test chamber can be conditioned according to the test requirements. As part of the test bench extension of the friction test field, the test bench control is fundamentally updated and renewed. In addition, the brake pressure control is extended by a control that allows passing through predetermined brake pressure profiles.
Integration into the universal testing field Vibration Technology.
