Mobiles Messsystem
The mobile data acquisition system provides in connection with the test vehicles of the Department of Automotive Engineering an entire testing environment for analysing components and vehicle control systems up to validation processes of vehicle dynamic simulations. All measuring values for vehicle dynamic analysis are synchronised in a computer for characterising different driving behaviours precisely. The system is because of its modular structure capable to fit in almost every vehicle and offers a wide range of possible applications for the mapping of real-driving tests.
Main Applications (abstract)
- Open loop and closed loop test
- Static skid pad (v=const. / R=const.)
- Single and double lane change (ISO 3888)
- Step steer manoeuvre
- Weave Test
- Sinus sweep
- JTurn
- Fishhook
Parameters (abstract)
- Yaw, roll and pitch angle / rates
- Position of vehicle (GPS position)
- Acceleration in x, y and z
- Velocity in x, y and z
- Steering wheel angle and velocity
Driveability Testing Alliance - DTA
With the steady growing range and legal requirements of car active safety systems, the need of methods and inspection procedures for the validation and homologation of these advanced driver assistance systems increase proportionally. To accommodate demand the DTA (Driveability Testing Alliance) was founded, a competence partnership of AMFD, GeneSys, Dewetron und Stähle. Together they combine know how to a plug & play system with extendable hard- and software components.
Therefore a test vehicle is equipped with the following setup:
- Actuators for steering, gas and brake and if necessary for a manual transmission from Stähle
- Inertial Measurement Unit from GeneSysOffenburg
- Synchronous data acquisition system from Dewetron
The execution and post-processing are doing by the Automobil Forschung Dresden GmbH. Only with a reliable and precisely working system the strict regulations of the test executions from e.g. EuroNCAP can be satisfied and automated driving functions accurately evaluated. Following some test scenarios are listed:
- Forward Collision Warning (FCW)
- Autonomous Emergency Braking (AEB)/Carto-Car
- Vulnerable Road Users (VRU)
- Lane Departure Warning (LDW)
- Lane Support Systems (LSS)
- Emergency Lane Keeping (ELK)
