Best Paper Award at the FISITA World Congress and a small step towards more vehicle safety

Tobias Schramm presented new research results on the effect of degraded vehicle shock absorbers on the safety-critical driving dynamics of passenger cars at the 39th FISITA World Congress in Barcelona. In addition to his presentation, he prepared a paper entitled: "Simulative Study of the Influence of Degraded Twin-Tube Shock Absorbers on the Lateral Forces of Vehicle Axles", which was honoured with the Best Paper Award. As part of his research, he was able to show that degraded shock absorbers have a negative effect on the driving dynamics of passenger cars and that the tyres of a vehicle in particular strongly influence this effect.

The colleagues of the Chair of Automobile Engineering congratulate Mr. Schramm on this success and wish him continued success in his research and his PhD project.
