Dr. Nikola Bešinović assumes role as deputy head of the chair

Dr. Nikola Bešinović follows Prof. Dr.-Ing. Rainer König, who retired on 1 April 2022 after 22 years at the faculty, as deputy head of the Chair of Rail and Public Urban Transport.
Since 2012 he worked at TU Delft as PhD researcher and, after finishing his PhD thesis the title "Integrated Capacity Assessment and Timetabling Models for Dense Railway Networks", he continued his work at TU Delft at the Department of Transport and Planning as researcher and lecturer.
His broad research experience in the field of rail transportation systems and resilience makes him ideally suited to continue and develop research topics at the Chair of Rail and Public Urban Transport.
The staff of the chair is looking forward towards working with Dr. Bešinović and wish him a good start at TU Dresden.
