Welcome to the Chair of Public Transport
We research and teach how public transport systems can be planned, designed, and operated to support more sustainable and inclusive mobility. By combining operations research, artificial intelligence, modelling, and simulation, we develop innovative solutions for multi-modal transport and seamless mobility. Our work aims to enhance efficiency, reliability, and user experience in public transport across urban and rural contexts, while ensuring accessibility for diverse user groups and reducing environmental and societal costs.
Research at the Chair of Public Transport cover the following topics:
- Sustainable and resilient public transport systems
- Demand-responsive public transport planning and timetabling
- Multi-modal mobility and real-time traffic management
- Urban Air Mobility integration and emerging transport technologies
