Greeting the students of the TU Wrocław
A students group from TU Wrocław (civil engineering students) visited our institute at the end of April. The students are also members of the „Student Research Group of Railway Infrastructure“. Those members are highly interested in topics of railways in general, in public transport, transportation problems and urban planning. They carry out their own research, do educational trips and provide advise for local public transport problems.
During their stay at our institute the students visited the laboratory of rail traffic control and signal garden, the railway operation laboratory and the laboratory of railway track construction. DB Engineering and Consulting organised a guided tour to Dresden Main Station including the new construction site for renewing the platforms in the „Mittelhalle“. Finally the students visited the DVB, getting introduced to the company and recent projects. Furthermore they entered the operation centre of tram and bus operation, used the driving simulator and got a tour through the tram museum.
More about the excursion on the hamepage of TU Wrocław.
