EEIHSR professional excursion - high-speed railway in Europe
As part of the Erasmus+ project Erasmus+ Projekts "Economics, Ecology and Infrastructure at High-Speed Railway (EEIHSR)“, which was initiated by the Chair of Railway Signalling and Transport Safety Technology, the workshops and the specialist excursions took place from May 30th to June 2nd, 2022. The lecturers and experts of the Partner universities from M.Auezov South Kazakhstan University (Kazakhstan), L.N. Gumilyov Eurasian National University (Kazakhstan), Academy of Logistics and Transport (Kazakhstan), University of Economics in Katowice (Poland) and the Universidad Politécnica de Madrid (Spain) took part in the excursion .
During the workshops, the open points regarding the project and the possibility of further cooperation between universities were actively discussed. Prof. Pablo Garrido from the Universidad Politécnica de Madrid gave a speech on the topic "Talgo technology and Talgo new ICE-L trains for Germany". Dr. Ulrich Maschek presented the key and modern control and safety technology that is used for the high-speed railway in Germany.
The following excursions are organized by the Professorship for Railway Signalling and Safety Technology:
- Integrated Railway Laboratory at TU Dresden
- Passenger train treatment facility in Dresden-Reick
- Erfurt railway central station
- Digital node Stuttgart and its construction site
- Lötschberg Base Tunnel in Frutigen, Switzerland
Excursions offer an opportunity for the foreign lecturers from the partner universities to get an initial overview of major projects and advanced high-speed rail technologies in Europe. The theoretically conveyed knowledge can be illustrated in practice and deepened by a wide range of additional information.
