1. securing and executing train movements in the event of deviations from regular operations
2. operational sequence and operational control
3. effects of LST on track capacity
4. implementation of railroad operations under the influence of faults in safety systems and other deviations from regular operations (practical training)
Learning objectives
On completion of the course, participants should have gained an in-depth understanding of the interrelationships between railroad operations and control and safety technology.
Target group
The course is aimed at employees of companies who are responsible for the design, planning and implementation of railroad operations.
Prerequisites for participation
Participants should have knowledge of the fundamentals of railroad operations as taught in the module Fundamentals of Railway Operations - B1.
Scope and methods
The module comprises lectures as well as seminars and practical training in the railroad operations laboratory, which take place over 4 days.
