AIDA-AT Conference (03.-04.02.2020)

Lecture at NTU
At the conference "Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Data Analytics (DA) for Air Transportation" Dr. Michael Schultz had the opportunity to present the joint research work on the topic "An ADS-B-based milestone concept for the management of airport ground operations". The work was conducted in close cooperation with the University of Toulouse, ONERA - DTIS and the Air Traffic Management Research Institute of Nanyang Technological University in Singapore. Due to the excellent cooperation in this international research group, a next step towards a future-oriented research agenda was successfully implemented. The goal is to efficiently combine machine learning methods with the extensive domain expertise in the field of air transportation systems (e.g. airport management, flight guidance, airspace management). Discussions with the expert audience on site showed that the chair has achieved a leading position among international research institutions in this field. In addition, Dr. Schultz gave a lecture on efficient ground handling and increasing automation in airport management as a guest researcher at NTU Singapore.
