IfL presenting eVTOL research and SML at Belt and Road Summit, Hong Kong

The Belt and Road Summit 2026 (Seidenstraße) held in China, Hong Kong offered an excellent venue to present our Test Center of Automated Flying (TAFAS) as part of the SML which soon will open its doors and our latest research on unmanned aerial systems tackling midair conflict detection & resolution, sensing, mission planning under uncertainty and drone defense concepts. Intensive  dialogues with representatives of the CAA Hong Kong, Macao and the City of Shenzhen completed the trip including talks with representatives of China’s major eVTOL OEMs such as e.g., EHang, AutoFlight, ARIDGE. Joint initiatives in ramping up Urban Air Mobility which is called Low Altitude Economy (LAE) in Asia are envisaged.
