Jan Evler, IfL, Third Place Winner SESAR Young Scientist Award 2021
Europe’s most promising young minds in air traffic management (ATM) research were celebrated at the SESAR Young Scientist Award ceremony, which took place during the closing plenary of the SESAR Innovation Days virtual conference on 9 December. In the students’ category, the third prize went to Jan Evler, Institute of Logistics and Aviation at Technische Universität Dresden, for his PhD thesis on the „Resource-Constrained Airline Ground Operations – Optimizing Schedule Recovery under Uncertainty“, which is supervised by Prof. Fricke and Prof. Cook from the University of Westminster.
