Content of the Course
This course addresses the peformance of an aircraft in the various flight conditions, the objective functions and variants of cruise flight execution as well as ETOPS regulation. Furthermore, the flight performance calculation as well as the associated fundamentals of thrust diagrams and polar curve are examined in more detail.
Upon completion of this module, you will be familiar with the methods and applications that describe the motion of aircraft with 6 degrees of freedom with the associated forces and moments, powers and energy expenditures. In addition, you will be able to mathematically model important influencing variables on flight performance and assess the performance of the aircraft as a function of flight condition with regard to safety, economy and environmental compatibility.
