Research Goal
With "Städte in Bewegung: Understanding mobility - shaping the future", the TU Dresden research team wants to find out how people get around on daily life. Urban mobility trends are to be estimated on the basis of this data. The focus here is on all forms of mobility - by car, by bus and train, by bike, on foot or with new forms of mobility such as the electric scooter. Even if you move around rarely, you are welcome to participate in the survey.
In "Städte in Bewegung", mobility behavior is surveyed using the smartphone app "StiB: Städte in Bewegung", which was specially developed for the research project. The app was programmed by the Potsdam-based software company MOTIONTAG.
The data obtained from the survey is extremely valuable for transport planning. The results are an important basis for ensuring mobility, making urban transport even more adaptable in the future and tailoring it to your needs.
