CARES - CITY AIR REMOTE EMSSION SENSING
Inhaltsverzeichnis
CARES aims to investigate contactless measurement of vehicle exhaust emissions
Goal
Lower barriers to the widespread use of these technologies through a combination of technology development, new analysis techniques, proof-of-concept demonstrations, and extensive dissemination of results, findings, and guidance.
Strategy
Help monitor and enforce pollutant limits and improve air quality, particularly in cities.
CARES is working directly with three European cities
Krakow, Milan, and Prague - to develop best practices and demonstrate the practical potential of the various remote emission sensing techniques. Through the CARES Cities’ Exchange Network, the project will actively collaborate with experts in China and Europe, as well as a range of stakeholders from regulatory and industry backgrounds.
The CARES project is funded by the European Union’s Horizon 2020 research and innovation programme and will run from 2019 to 2023.
