Driving simulator
At the chair, driving simulators can be used to provide realistic simulations of driving under different visibility conditions and with different demands of vehicles and roads. Two interactive driving simulators with eye-tracking registration exist on the chair.
- 1x static driving simulator with driving stand (mock-up) with the simulation of traffic environments via STISIM, presentation via three flat screens, eye tracking: SMI / Dikablis
- 1x static driving simulator with driving stand (mock-up) with simulation of traffic environments via SILAB, 180-degree image screen, eye tracking: SMI / Dikablis
Electric cargobike
The Institute for Transport Planning and Road Traffic has a cargo bike with electric motor support for use in research and teaching. The bike (Cube Cargo Sport Hybrid 500) and the corresponding measurement technology are funded by the Commission for the Environment of the TU Dresden.
Eye tracking lab
In the lab we offer eye-tracking studies with either a fixed or a head-mounted system by Sensomotoric Instruments as well as by Ergoneers the Dikablis Glasses 3 including D-LAB software for data analyis.
VR lab
We use Meta-Quest 2 glasses for immersive virtual reality experiments. With this technology, we can simulate a large variety of traffic situations and investigate the decision-making process and reactions of road users in a safe and controlled environment.
