The thesis Big Data and their significance for transportation service will outline the concept of Big Data, as well as introduce the construction of Big Data applications. Moreover it will illustrate the legal framework in which Big Data analyses are performed and take a look at economical and financial approaches towards Big Data. The thesis concludes with an outlook on future-orientated applications from the areas of logistics, mobility and autonomous driving all based on Big Data.
Big Data holds a lot of opportunities to create a positiv digital shift for society and the economy. If the government ensured a balance between the protection of the privacy of the individual and leaving room for the development of innovations, Big Data appli-cations could generate technological progress that would benefit companies as well as private users.
