AI-driven cars demonstration in Science Café on the topic of Artificial Intelligence
On 5th May 2022, chair members along with Prof. Okhrin participated in a Science Café on the topic of Artificial Intelligence as a part of the special exhibition ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE. Machines — Learning — Mankind’s Dream organized by Deutsche Hygiene-Museum Dresden, DRESDEN Concept and ScaDS.AI. Participants discussed the role of Artificial Intelligent in different areas of our daily lives. Researchers had a conversation with citizens in the science café on the current research in AI.
Prof. Okhrin contributed to the discussion on the topic “Autonoumsly on the road? AI in road traffic”. Chair team members Dianzhao Li and Ankit Chaudhari demonstrated lane following and vehicle detection behaviors by two AI-driven robotic cars and had a discussion with other researchers, students, and interested citizens on the role of AI, working principles of robots, and the futuristic approach.
