Dennis Gaus is a postdoctoral researcher at the Chair of Economics, especially Transport Policy and Spatial Economics at TU Dresden. His research focuses on transport economics and empirical regional economics. After completing his master's degree in applied economics, he did his doctorate at the Graduate Center of DIW Berlin on the economic effects of the quality and maintenance of transport infrastructure on companies and regions. He works in particular with production function approaches, accessibility indicators and methods of spatial econometrics. He also deals with infrastructure costs in railroad operations and the effects of pricing policy measures (e.g., 9€-Ticket and Deutschland-Ticket).
