ViVeVa: Virtualization of traffic studies in the driving simulator - valid driver behavior based on physiological indicators
Table of contents
Project objective
The ViVeVa project is investigating how the quality of the driving simulation database (e.g. the influence of geodata or accident data for scenarios) affects the test subjects in the experiment. To determine the influencing variables relevant to driving behavior, the mental stress of the test subjects is measured using electroencephalography (EEG).

Human subject study
What?: Driving simulator study with EEG measurement + questionnaire (on socio-demographic characteristics, possible illnesses, subjective driving experience and subjective driving behavior)
Where? Freital (transfer to the test site will be organized and is free of charge for participants)
How? Duration: 3 hours; fee: 50 euros
When? From mid-July to the end of September
Participants wanted for the study
- who are between 18 and 35 years old,
- are in possession of a valid driver's license and have at least 5000 km of driving experience (or at least once a week),
- have driven a car themselves at least once in the last 3 months (owning a car is not necessary),
- and who have no known predisposition to motion sickness, simulator sickness or VR sickness.
A short screening (by telephone or e-mail) is carried out in advance to check suitability for the study.
