IVS-AMP - Robust Positioning Methods in complex Environments (Parking Decks) for Localisation, Navigation, Logistic Tasks and associated Services
Project Description
By 2020, Saxon companies, the Technical University of Dresden and the network of automotive suppliers in Saxony (AMZ Sachsen) will use the new technology of mobile sensors to explore how free indoor parking spaces can be located in the future and how vehicles can then be navigated to the respective parking lot in a multi-storey car park of the city of Leipzig. The locating and driving functions are enhanced by an app with additional services and parking services, such as "book and pay online","find-my-car" and innovative solutions for city logistics in the multi-storey car park.
The TU Dresden, with its Chair Transport Systems Information Technology develops robust localisation methods with compensation for multipath effects in the highly demanding wireless environment.
