Insight into our research

The objectives of traffic telematics in individual traffic is to automate traffic processes and make them as efficient and resource-friendly as possible. In our current projects, we are concerned with the provision of information for the implementation of energy-saving driving modes for the use of highly automated vehicles as well as the improvement and enhancement of the attractiveness of non-motorized traffic.

With the help of a qualitative traffic control at traffic signal-regulated intersections, different traffic requirements are to be considered into account in real time and thus contribute to an improved traffic flow, to the reduction of lost times as well as to the increase of the reliability and the attractiveness of the public transport.

In the field of automation and optimization of telematic processes, the objectives of real-time capable application in railroad passenger and freight traffic is pursued. In addition to the use and exploitation of optimization and control engineering processes, our focus is equally on algorithm and software development. The development of driver assistance systems for energy-optimized driving as well as the operations management system with conflict resolution could be driven up to prototypical implementation or product maturity.
