Welcome to our new colleague.
Dineth Durage
We are delighted to welcome Dineth Dhananjaya as a new colleague at our chair!
Dineth pursued his Master's degree in Transportation Economics at the "Friedrich List" Faculty of Transport and Traffic Sciences, TU Dresden. His master's thesis focused on developing a data-driven, two-dimensional car-following model using deep learning techniques for short-term trajectory prediction. This work was also supported by a mathematical modelling framework and simulation-based performance evaluation. Before moving to Germany, Dineth previously worked at the University of Moratuwa, Sri Lanka, in the domain of Intelligent Transportation Systems. At our Chair of VPA, Dineth will work on the collaborative project RAISE, developing a resilient multimodal transport management strategy involving Shared Autonomous Electric Vehicles (SAEVs). His main areas of involvement will be developing an extended macroscopic traffic flow model and a traffic control strategy based on optimized allocation and traffic signal timing. In his free time, Dineth enjoys reading books and playing cricket.
We wish Dineth all the best in his position at our chair and are already looking forward to a lively exchange of ideas with him.
