Aim of the subject
This course has two objectives. On the one hand, the knowledge already acquired in control engineering is to be deepened in order to be able to deal with current issues in the field of process automation in the traffic sector. The focus is on controller and observer design for multi-variable systems, as well as reading and discussing current technical articles. On the other hand, innovative research and development projects and their implementation in practical operation are to be familiarized with. Accordingly, this course requires regular participation in the colloquia "Traffic Management and Traffic Telematics", which are held in the summer semester. The colloquia originated in this course, but have since developed into a highly frequented forum for scientists, practice partners and students.
Content of the subject
Part 1: In-depth study of process automation in traffic telematics:
- Controller design for single and multi-variable systems (root locus curve, Bode diagram, state feedback, pole specification)
- Observer design
- Paper-Reading-Group (reading and discussion of current papers)
Part 2: Colloquia "Traffic Management and Traffic Telematics":
- Guest lectures on special problems of traffic process automation - Assistance and information systems for vehicle drivers.
Working materials for the courses
Access to the working materials is via OPAL. As the slides are only for internal use by the students of the field of study Transport Telematics, a login with password is required for access, which will be announced in the lecture.
The documents for the lecture "Grundlagen der Prozessautomatisierung" can be found in the OPAL course under:
