Michael Graßmann receives Deutsche Bundesbank award

On the 21^st of October 2020, the winners of the 2020 Faculty Awards were honored. The Deutsche Bundesbank award 2020 was given to our employee Michael Graßmann for his planned research stay at the Department of Accounting and Control at HEC Lausanne under the supervision of Prof. Gaia Melloni.

Besides the bilateral exchange with Gaia Melloni on current research topics of non-financial reporting, Mr. Grassmann will also present his current research in a faculty colloquium. Furthermore, possibilities of cooperation will be discussed.

Gaia Melloni has been Professor at the Department of Accounting and Control at HEC Lausanne since September of 2019. Previously, she received her PhD from the University of Verona and held positions at the University of East Anglia (UK), Bocconi University (Italy), University of Oxford (UK), Erasmus University Rotterdam (Netherlands) and the Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology (Australia). She is a recognized expert in the field of non-financial reporting with excellent publication successes using a quantitative research approach.

Due to the Corona pandemic, the stay has had to be postponed twice already and can hopefully be realized soon. In order to start the cooperation soon, Mr. Graßmann will give a guest lecture at the HEC Lausanne on November 12, 2020, although only virtually.
