Research fields

The Chair deals with three main questions of environmental management:

• Which general conditions are relevant for the decision-making processes of the private sector and public facilities? How do they interact with these conditions?
• Which instruments are important for economic-ecological optimisation in the decision-making process of companies?
• How are environmental management and sustainable development correlated?

The research program of the Chair of Sustainability Management and Environmental Accounting is reflected in the courses and seminars. Theoretical and practical research results are directly included in the lectures. This fusion of theory and practical experience is supported by the use of case scenarios from different German companies.
