Presentation by Lecture Iven Kurz (CEO & Founder Evergreen) in the module Financial Derivatives & Options

In a presentation lasting just under an hour on 12 January 2024, Iven Kurz explained the use of financial derivatives in practice to students in the Financial Derivatives and Options module.

An important approach of the asset manager Evergreen is to offer ready-made portfolios, whereby the risk appetite is precisely balanced taking into account regulatory requirements. The core content of the presentation was an explanation of how the performance of these portfolios can be replicated as cost-effectively as possible using complex derivative strategies.

This was followed by numerous questions from the students. These related both to the strategies discussed and to Evergreen, the company founded by Iven Kurz.

Before founding Evergreen, Iven Kurz worked as Director and Head of Total Return Asset Management at the Lampe and Metzler banks, among others. We would like to thank Iven Kurz for his interesting and informative presentation!
