TUD|excite|FUTURELAB: Research colloquium on motives and strategies of academic inventors: inside to patenting/publishing

The qualitative study by excite|FUTURELAB received valuable impetus from the most recent research colloquium. The meeting of inventors and university managers provided important feedback on the preliminary results regarding motivation and hurdles in the invention disclosure process. The participants' contributions sharpened the focus of the study, particularly with regard to patenting vs. publication strategies and institutional support. This strengthens the impact and relevance of the study for future transfer strategies. The results will be evaluated and published in summer 2026.
