Prof. Dr. Hilbert Award 2021

At the New Year's reception of our faculty on January 12, 2022, the Prof. Dr. Hilbert Award 2021 was presented. Our colleague Martin Scheffler is winner of this award for his research project "Policy making for conductors in railway operations", which will be conducted together with Lisa Wesselink and Janis Neufeld. The aim of the project is to develop data-driven strategies for the design of so-called attendance rates for conductors in order to meet the various objectives in passenger transport (e.g. cost minimization, high service level, sufficient ticket checks). Congratulations, we look forward to the results of this exciting project!
