Prof. Ou Tang visits TU Dresden

From 04.04. to 06.04.2018 Prof. Ou Tang from Linköping University (LiU), Sweden was a guest at the Faculty of Economics as teacher in the doctoral workshop "Management Science and Engineering". During the two-day course he discussed quantitative models of inventory management considering aspects of demand forecasting, remanufacturing processes and system dynamics. In addition, he provided the 14 participants from the universities of Dresden, Leipzig, Chemnitz and Freiberg with a wide range of methods for the organization and documentation of scientific projects in the field of operations management and presented insights into his expertise as reviewer and editor of the "International Jounal of Production Economics".

The scientific scope of the course was complemented by an informal afternoon program which allowed each other to get in closer contact. During a self-guided city tour held on Thursday and and a Friday walk along the Elbe castles Prof. Ou Tang could also recognize Dresden's cultural, scenic and culinary offerings closing with a final visit to the brewery at Waldschlösschen.
Prof. Dr. Udo Buscher and his team are pleased about having Prof. Tang in Dresden and are looking forward to intensifying relations with Linköping via future cooperations.
