How effective are our controlling tools?
Does the Balanced Scorecard influence companies' ability to innovate? Does activity-based costing improve their strategic orientation?
Our Evidence-based Management Accounting research program deals with questions like these. We examine how well controlling tools really work and transfer the claim of evidence-based research from medicine and politics to controlling. Instead of textbook knowledge, we rely on reliable data.
For this program, we award bachelor's, master's and diploma theses. You will work on current research questions, systematically and with a clear method.
