Seeking SHK for the "ReCAIcle" Project
The Faculty of Business and Economics is seeking to fill a position at the Chair of Business Administration, with a focus on marketing, at the Faculty of Business and Economics, to be filled as soon as possible for the position of a
student assistant (m/f/d) (up to 10 hours per week)
until September 30, 2027. The duration of employment is governed by the WissZeitVG and the SächsHSG in conjunction with the TdL guidelines for Student Assistants and Research Assistants dated April 27, 2026.
Responsibilities: The project “ReCAIcle – Towards Circular Economy: AI-based Conversational Agent (CA) for Sustainable Behavior Change” is conducting research on AI-supported conversational agents (or chatbots) designed to motivate users to adopt sustainable behaviors. In collaboration with seventhings GmbH and the Chair of Industrial Design Engineering, the goal is to develop a chatbot that supports users of seventhings GmbH’s asset management software in using resources more efficiently and in an environmentally friendly manner in line with the principles of the circular economy. The project’s focus includes scientific studies on topics such as chatbot design and the application of nudging strategies, which will subsequently undergo a proof of concept within the company.
- Collaboration on the design, implementation, and evaluation of user studies,
- Assisting with the development and evaluation of chatbots,
- Conducting literature reviews on current trends and research findings,
- Assisting with the preparation of results in the form of presentations and scientific papers.
Requirements:
- Enrolled student at a university, preferably at TU Dresden and preferably in a master’s or advanced diploma program,
- Interest in topics related to artificial intelligence, human-technology interaction, and sustainability,
- Basic knowledge of qualitative and/or quantitative research methods is a plus,
- Ability to work independently, be results-oriented, and be reliable,
- Interest in exploring the technical aspects of chatbots,
- Interest in market research and scientific methodology,
