Welcome to the website of Association for the Promotion of Business and Economics at TUD Dresden University of Technology!
Aims
The association was founded in October 1995 as a charitable organization. It has the aim to intensify the exchange between science and practice as well as to support research and teaching at the faculty to promote economics.

Projects
In the past, in addition to large conferences and scientific formats, we have also been able to support many projects for students and early-career researchers and promote exchange between companies, scientists and students. Some examples of funded projects can be found here:
ERP business game sim
The ERP management game sim is used in courses at the faculty. Our association contributes to the license costs for the participating students.
In the business game, students manage a virtual muesli factory in a simulated competitive market with the help of an ERP system. The teams make decisions on product and production programs, production planning and materials management, sales and distribution channels as well as pricing and marketing strategies. The economically most successful team wins.
Excursions
We support the annual multi-day excursion organized by the VWI Dresden University Group.
In recent years, the excursions have taken Industrial Engineering and Management students to Munich, Hamburg and Vienna, among other places. In addition to cultural program points, the focus was on company visits, for example to Jungheinrich, Kühne + Nagel, Webasto, BMW, ÖBB and TÜV Austria. The excursions provide valuable insights into companies and promote the exchange between studies and professional practice.
Funding pots for early-career researchers
Our association participates in the annual call for applications for the ProDok grant, which gives doctoral students in the first two years of their doctorate the opportunity to select and attend methods courses from the extensive VHB ProDok program.
Doctoral candidates, postdocs and Junior Professors at the Faculty can apply for the annual Professor Hilbert Publication Prize, which is awarded by the Faculty and the Friends of the Faculty.
This prize recognizes and highlights outstanding publication achievements by early-career researchers.
