Reviewing the 15th ifo Dresden Workshop on Labor Economics and Social Policy

On May 21 and 22, 2026, the 15th ifo Dresden Workshop on Labor Economics and Social Policy took place at ifo Dresden, as always a joint event with the Faculty of Economics.

The thematic focus of this year’s event was on the economics of education and health, labor mobility, and gender economics. You can find the program here!

A definite highlight of the workshop was the keynote lecture, “The Price of Breaking the Glass Ceiling,” held on Thursday evening and delivered by Rita Ginja (University of Bergen).

The organizers—Prof. Dr. Kamila Cygan-Rehm, Selina Schulze-Spüntrup, Franziska Nuernbergk, Grega Ferenc, and Prof. Dr. Alexander Kemnitz—would like to thank all participants for their contributions and are already looking forward to next year’s workshop!
