Getting Off to a Good Start in Your Doctoral Program: Our Introductory Workshop for New Doctoral Students
How can I get off to a good start in my doctoral program? How do I find my research topic? How can I balance research and teaching? And what career prospects are there once my contract ends? New research associates grapple with these and many other questions as they begin their work at the faculty.
To make the start easier, provide guidance, and facilitate initial connections, we host an introductory workshop for new doctoral students once or twice a year. This workshop is designed and led by former doctoral students who share their experiences and offer valuable firsthand insights.
On November 3, 2026, it was time again! In a two-hour workshop, we were able to pass on knowledge, share personal experiences, and answer numerous questions. A heartfelt thank you to all new researchers for participating and for the open exchange! We wish you a successful start and an exciting time at our faculty.
Special thanks go to Dr. Jeannette Stark (Digital Health Research Group) and Dr. Philipp Richter (Chair of Business Administration, esp. Management Accounting and Control) for their valuable input and insights!
