IIT Madras Research Park (IITMRP) and TUD I excite focus on assistive technologies (AT)
In March, Prof. Andreas Pinkwart, TUD I excite Director, discussed with Prof. Ashok Jhunjhunwala, President of the IIT Madras Research Park (IITMRP), in Chennai, India, the first steps towards working together to become a global leader in the field of assistive technologies (AT). AT support people with disabilities at work, in everyday life or in sports. Demographics are creating a growing need worldwide.
IIT Madras and IITMRP have established a Center for AT to highlight the transformative power of assistive systems. Artificial intelligence, sensor technology and robotics as well as digital health, lightweight construction and 3D printing play a key role here - fields in which the TUD has great strengths.
