New publication: Market outlook on expected hydrogen prices and volumes in Germany

A crucial question on the way to achieving climate neutrality by 2045 is at what price (green) hydrogen will be available and what quantities of hydrogen can be expected. To answer this question, the Chair of Business Administration, in particular Energy Economics, has carried out a meta-analysis of existing literature on the subject of hydrogen on behalf of SachsenNetze. The literature analysis answers the following three key questions:

1. what prices for hydrogen can be expected per scenario in the target years in Germany and Saxony?
2. how will the required quantities of hydrogen be produced or procured for each scenario?
3. which aspects can change the results on hydrogen volumes and purchase prices?
