The OR 2024 Data, Learning, and Optimization with over 700 participants took place from 03.-06.09.2024 with broad participation of the faculty. In addition to Alexander Blume, Aron Lange (both Chair of Business Administration, esp. Industrial Management), Prof. Rainer Lasch, Martin Schönheit (both Chair of Business Administration, esp. Logistics), Dr. Hannes Hobbie, Jannis Eichenberg (both Chair of Business Administration, esp. Energy Economics) and Assistant Professor Tristan Becker (Junior Professorship of Business Administration, esp. Management Science), Maximilian Hubmann, Industrial Engineering and Management student and Student Assistant, also took the opportunity to present research results and build networks.
In his contribution, Maximilian Hubmann, together with Markus Höfling, investigated the potential of lot streaming in process planning and developed a powerful optimization algorithm for this purpose. This is the output of the Fund for Student Research (FOSTER) at TU Dresden, which was carried out at the Chair of Business Administration, in particular Industrial Management. Following the presentation at OR 2024, the aim is now to prepare and publish a journal article together with the supervisors Daniel Zähringer and Prof. Dr. Janis Neufeld.
