Reviewing the 14th ifo Dresden Workshop on Labor Economics and Social Policy
On May 22 & 23, the Dresden Branch of ifo Institute – Leibniz Institute for Economic Research and the Department of Business and Economics at TU Dresden conducted the now 14th ifo Dresden Workshop on Labor Economics and Social Policy!
Like the years before, young researchers from all over the world presented their current research and discussed it with their peers and seniors. Topics ranged from wage subsidies and occupational choice to health and family economics. Please find the program here!!
A definite highlight of the workshop was the inspiring keynote by Prof. Dr. Charlotte Bartels (Leipzig University & DIW) on “When capitalism takes over socialism: the lasting economic divide between East and West Germany,” a topic especially fitting to our location!
The organizers Prof. Dr. Kamila Cygan-Rehm, Selina Schulze-Spüntrup, Grega Ferenc, and Prof. Dr. Alexander Kemnitz wish all participants all the best in their future academic endeavors and look forward to welcoming them again!
