Janis Neufeld appointed as Professor

PD Dr. habil. Janis Neufeld, long-time research associate at the Chair of Business Administration, esp. Industrial Management, has been appointed to the W3 Chair of Operations Management, at Otto von Guericke University Magdeburg. We are delighted and congratulate him warmly! At the same time, however, this happy occasion also means that he will unfortunately be leaving the faculty at the end of May, 2024. We wish him all the best for his new start in Magdeburg!

During his time at the Chair of Business Administration, esp. Industrial Engineering, Janis Neufeld completed his PhD on "Problem-specific heuristics for group scheduling problems in cellular manufacturing" in 2016 and his habilitation in 2022. Since 2016, he has also headed the Operations Management working group and has been involved in teaching and numerous projects.
