Tour de Dresden – The discovery tour through Dresden companies

One week practical insights right across Dresden – What to expect

• You don't want to sit in front of the screen or study for exams anymore?
• Are you looking for new motivation and fun?
• You want to know in which professional fields and areas you can work after graduation?

During the Tour de Dresden, you will get to know 14 industrial companies from Dresden and the environs in 4 days. During company expeditions, you can visit their production facilities and talk to the managing directors and employees about technical topics and career opportunities.

Your Tourplan for September 12–15, 2022

At the kick-off, you will receive your tour map. You will receive a stamp for each tour stop you visit. At the get-together on September 15, you can convert your tour map with all its stamps into a voucher for a visit to the beer garden.

Tour Program

September 12, 10 am: Tourstart / Kick-Off

TU Dresden, Barkhausen-Bau, lecture room 205

• Presentation of the participating companies
• Distribution of the tour packages and the tour plan (stamp card)

September 12–15: Tour Stops / Expedition(s) to company site(s)

• Guided tours of companies and their production
• Discussions with management and employees
• Presentation of the fields of work and entry opportunities

Choose up to seven expeditions to the companies of your choice. The company profiles offer orientation of what to expect on site and for which specialties the company is particularly suitable. The journey to the production site has to be managed by the participants themselves. If the location is not accessible by public transport, a transfer will be organized by the company.

September 15, 6pm: Tour finale / Get-together in the beer garden

• Redemption of your tour plan for a voucher of up to 20 EUR and (from six visited tour stops) a 64-USB-A/C-Stick
• Raffle among all tour participants
• End of the tour with all students and company representatives in the beer garden
