TUD I excites FUTURELAB and Chair of Entrepreneurship and Innovation at the 27th CINet Conference in Genoa
From September 13–15, 2026, Dr. Nagwan Abu El-Ella and Johannes Paul from TUD|excite FUTURELAB, together with Nicholas Bost from the Chair of Entrepreneurship and Innovation presented current research at the 27th conference of the Creativity and Innovation Management Network (CINet), hosted by the University of Genoa. The presentation focused on the paper "Patents in Search for New Business Models: Fostering Entrepreneurial Intent Through Patent Incubation Within a Deep Tech Ecosystem". It explores how working with real university patents in the International TUD|excite Summer School (to a recap of the Summer School 2026) can foster entrepreneurial thinking and intentions. First insights suggest that patents offer a promising starting point for exploring new business models. Continued support within the deep-tech ecosystem may also play an important role. The exchange with the international community provided valuable input for further research and future collaborations.
